FIELD: electrical engineering and heat engineering, applicable in thermal power stations. ^ SUBSTANCE: the method for cooling of transformers of a thermal power station consists in the fact that abstraction of the heat liberated in the transformer windings is effected by oil. Permanent oil cooling is accomplished in the oil cooler. Natural gas supplied to the boiler is used as cooling medium. ^ EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of the thermal power station due to the use of the heat of the transformer windings in the cycle of the thermal power station, as well as due to reduced operating and capital outlays to the cooling system of the transformers. ^ 1 dwg
