<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of stably forming a four-color black, and also, having good gradation. <P>SOLUTION: A white circle shows yellow (Y) toner, a circle represented by right-down hatching shows magenta (M) toner, a circle represented by right-upward hatching shows cyan (C) toner and a solid black circle shows black (K) toner, respectively. Shown in Fig. 4(A), comparatively large dots of magenta (M), cyan (C) and yellow (Y) toner are adjacently arranged, and a three-color black is formed. In the case of transferring also the black (K) toner on the three-color black, the black (K) toner is flipped in reply to an electrostatic repulsive force. If a dither matrix is made finer as shown in Fig. 4(C) and Fig. 4(E), the black (K) toner is prevented from being flipped, although the gradation is sacrificed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
