METHOD FOR EVALUATION OF COMPOUND CAPABLE OF ACTING ON PLK3

It is found that topoisomerase IIa is a substrate for PLK3 and the phospholylated site in topoisomerase IIa corresponds to Thr at position 1342. Based on the finding, the evaluation (e.g., screening) of a compound for use as a therapeutic agent targeted to PlK3 becomes possible by using topoisomerase IIa or a substrate having the phospholylated site therein as a substrate. It is also found that the morphological change of a cancer cell having activated Ras is observed when PLK3 is over-expressed or activated. Based on the finding, a method for evaluation of a PLK3 activator and the PLK3 activator are provided.
