BIOMETRIC METHOD AND BIOMETRIC SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs for a system for implementing biometrics by means of a biometric medium by simplifying the process of issuing a portable communication terminal having biometric functions.

SOLUTION: A biometric application is downloaded from a server (3) to a portable communication terminal (1) and a biometric information area authenticated is created. Also, biometric information in a user's personal card (2) is stored in the common area of the portable communication terminal (1). Thus, the portable communication terminal (1) has the function of the personal card storing biometric information so that even the portable communication terminal (1) is usable as a personal card for biometrics.
