<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood hinge which prevents the interference of the rear end of a hood member with a vehicle body. <P>SOLUTION: The hood hinge 10 includes a hinge bracket 12 fixed to the vehicle body side, and a hinge arm 22 which is so supported on the hinge bracket 12 as to allow a stationary engine hood to operate to open and close an engine room. The hinge arm 22 has a pair of vertical walls 34, 36 which are disposed to be opposite to each other in the vehicle width direction and whose lower ends in the vertical direction along the vehicle body are connected via a slot bottom wall 38. One vertical wall 34 is supported on the hinge bracket 12 so as to be turnable, and a flange 26 is extended from the upper end in the vertical direction along the vehicle body of the other vertical wall 36 to be fixed to the engine hood. In the front-to-rear direction along the vehicle body, the paired vertical walls 34, 36 are so structured that their rear portions are higher in the vertical direction along the vehicle body than those of front portions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
