PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize effects on seaweed colonies and elongate a seaweed seed-collecting period. SOLUTION: This method for collecting seaweed seeds comprises transplanting seaweeds vegetatively propagated in sea to an aquarium filled with seawater, gradually bringing the temperature of the seawater from a temperature on the collection of the seaweeds to a flower-formable seawater temperature range at a naturally seawater-growing place, growing the seaweeds for a necessary period to take the roots, further keeping the water temperature range in the aquarium to the flower-formable seawater temperature range in the naturally seawater-growing place to continuously form the flowering seaweeds, and then collecting the seeds of the seaweeds.
