A detector arrangement (200) comprises a microelectronic semiconductor chip (20) and a separate optoelectronic detector chip (10) with the detector chip being arranged on the semiconductor chip. Preferably the semiconductor chip processes a signal produced in the detector chip, preferably acting as an amplifier of this signal. An independent claim is also included for a detector component as above.
