<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell using a metal oxide film which is superior in porosity and realizes a large surface area and has a high electron conductivity by using a vacuum film-forming method with superior productivity, cleanness, and safety. <P>SOLUTION: The dye-sensitized solar cell is formed by laminating at least a conductive film layer, a metal oxide layer adsorbed with dye molecules, an electrolyte or a hole transporting material layer, and a counter electrode in the order on a substrate.
