PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display apparatus for more easily and effectively generate the reset voltage of a reset period, and a driving method. SOLUTION: The plasma display apparatus includes: a plasma display panel where a first electrode and a second electrode are formed; a first electrode driver which supplies a first falling signal of a voltage magnitude, that is more than a scan voltage magnitude supplied during an address period, to the first electrode before a rising signal with a gradually rising voltage in at least one of subfields of a frame; and a second electrode driver which supplies a second signal having a polarity opposite a polarity of the first falling signal to the second electrode during the supply of the first falling signal.
