TRANSLATION SYSTEM, TRANSLATION DEVICE, TRANSLATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform translation into a sentence more natural for a person using the translated language as a mother tongue.

SOLUTION: This translation device 10 inputs a plurality of translation sentence candidates obtained by machine translation as search keywords to a search engine server device 30 on the Internet 20. The search engine server device 30 compares a designated search keyword with various sentences opened on the WWW sites to output the number of hits or a hit probability. That is, an expression with the high number/probability of hits by the search engine is an expression used by a large number of persons. Therefore, among a plurality of translation sentence candidates, a translation sentence candidate with the high number/probability of hits is considered as a general sentence having the more natural combination and sequence of words. When the translation sentence candidate with the high number/probability of hits by the search engine is used in generation of a translation sentence, the sentence has a natural characteristics to a native speaker.
