PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road crossing support device for reducing a noise by suppressing the generation of any unnecessary sound. SOLUTION: This road crossing support device is provided with a signal for a pedestrian of a pedestrian crossing and a sound adding device for a visually impaired person for notifying a visually impaired person of the status of the signal for a pedestrian through a speaker with a sound is provided with a receiver which receives a signal from a transmitter owned by the visually impaired person. When a visually impaired person who carries the transmitter enters the predetermined distance range of a receiver, the sound adding device for a visually impaired person notifies the visually impaired person of the status of the signal for a pedestrian through the speaker with a sound.
