PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always display an optimum picture when a liquid crystal display panel with a small dynamic range is used as an display part of an electronic endoscopic apparatus even if a different endoscope body is connected. SOLUTION: The electronic endoscopic apparatus has a means for discriminating the type of the endoscope body connected to a signal processing part on the monitor side, and has picture adjusting data, stored in the display part, for the monitor suitable for the discriminated endoscope body.
