PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving processing capabilities in a distributed processing system comprising onboard terminals. SOLUTION: The distributed processing system comprises a base station and onboard terminals, and the base station includes a resource information storage means having resource information of calculation nodes stored therein and a processing assignment means for specifying a calculation node to which processing should be assigned, on the basis of resource information, and each onboard terminal includes a resource information registration means for transmitting resource information and registering it in the distributed processing system and an operation means for executing assigned processing. It is preferable that the onboard terminal predicts entrance to a communication possible range on the basis of position information, a scheduled running path, and the communication possible range of the base station to start registration processing to the distributed processing system. It is preferable that the term of validity of an operation resource included in resource information is calculated on the basis of the communication possible range of the base station and the position information of the onboard terminal, the scheduled running path, and a speed of the vehicle.
