<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power of the whole system by reducing the power consumption in the performance operating device and the main device. <P>SOLUTION: In this system, both the performance operating device PM and the electronic musical instrument main part EM are connected wirelessly WL and operate in the power saving mode. The performance operating device PM makes scanning on low clocks for playing the performance operation part PD in standby state (Sap2), but when detecting the release signal Sbp made by the performance operation, it cancels the standby state to operate in the normal mode and makes scanning on high clocks, then turns on the power source 33 of the radio communication section 27 to transmit the performance information Sd1 by the player to the electronic musical instrument main device EM.
