<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handled folding paper box whose handle end part and catching panel are easily engaged, which eliminates the trouble a conventional handled folding box of this type has, i.e. in opening a cover, while the deep engagement between a catching hole and a hook has to be released by pushing down the handle by one hand, the panel has to be released outward from the handle by the other hand, which is not easily released from a caught/fixed condition by the finger or hand holding the handle or by an outer action, and which prevents the worst case where the panel comes off from the end of the handle even if the condition is released. <P>SOLUTION: The handle insertion hole of the catching panel 12 of this folding paper box is not a simple hole but is a window with a door. When a handle end is inserted, a part of the door is caught in a groove 8b formed at the end recess of the handle 8 from the side of the handle. The outer appearance is roughly the same as a conventional handled folding box, but simply by inserting the handle end in the panel as before, it is automatically locked preventing the panel from coming out from the handle during carrying/handling.
