PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for pressing aggregates, by which the heat conductivity of the inside of an furnace wall which is lowered by a microgap formed on the bottom of a blast furnace can be securely restored. SOLUTION: A pasty press fitting material formed by dispersing metal aggregates and refractory aggregates, both of which have a grain size of 500μm or smaller in a flowable medium is pressed into a 1 mm-wide or narrower microgap formed on the bottom of a blast furnace. The metal aggregates desirably comprise copper particles having a high heat conductivity. For example, mullite beads are used as the refractory aggregates, and ethylene glycol is used as the flowable medium. It is desirable that the metal aggregates have a sphericity of 30% or lower. It is more desirable that both of the particle sizes of the metal aggregates and the refractory aggregates are in the range of 75 to 300μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
