<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery improving charging/discharging efficiency and capacity maintaining rate. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery uses as positive electrode active substance Li<SB>2-x</SB>A<SB>x</SB>MO<SB>3</SB>which is obtained by replacing lithium in Li<SB>2</SB>MO<SB>3</SB>provided with a layer structure by an alkaline metal provided with an ion radius which is greater than the ion radius for the lithium. This Li<SB>2-x</SB>A<SB>x</SB>MO<SB>3</SB>fulfills 0<x≤0.5 and A above is alkaline metal provided with a greater ion radius than the ion radius of the lithium (Li), (such as sodium (Na) or potassium (K)) and M is a transition metal in which valence can become quadrivalent. Examples for the transition metal which can become quadrivalent expressed by M above are: manganese (Mn), molybdenum (Mo), titanium (Ti), platinum (Pt), iridium (Ir) and ruthenium (Ru), etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
