PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power conversion device for use in vehicles, in which the division of labor among assembly operations can be achieved, a semiconductor element cooling unit has proper detachability and workability and maintenability are provided by making effective use of the space. SOLUTION: The electric power conversion equipment is constituted to include a heat-producing portion 10, having a circuit for converting from DC to AC or from AC to DC by switching a semiconductor element 1, a stack 12 provided with a heat-dissipating portion 11 connected to the heat-producing portion 10 for cooling the heat-producing portion 10, and a box assembly 6 for detachably supporting the stack 12 mounted below the floor of a vehicle 5, housing the heat-producing portion 10 in an enclosure and holding the heat-dissipating portion 11 at the opening portion of a wheel side.
