<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress rise in haze of an optical film and occurrence of cutting chips from the optical film. <P>SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of the optical film by casting a thermoplastic resin on a metal support from the slits of a die, the shearing stress of the slits of the die when the resin flows through the slits is set at 0.01-0.4[MPa] and the passing time of the resin is set at 0.1-2.0[sec]. The polymer molecule in a dope and the particles of a matting agent or the like added to the dope, thereby receive shearing stress. That is, since the polymer molecule and particles while passing through the slit, receive the shearing stress to flow, uniformity is raised. As a result, concretely, the interval of the slits of the die is set at 0.2-3.0 mm. It is preferable to set the length of each of the slits at 40-250 mm which is longer than conventional ones so as to reduce the amount of the cutting chips and haze. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
