<p>The baler (10) has a bale forming chamber, which is surrounded by several rollers and side walls and a binding device, which guides binding material (78) over at least two rollers to an inlet of the bale forming chamber. The binding material and the rollers are wider than the bale forming chamber. The rollers have expansion elements at their axial end areas. The expansion elements each have an expansion ring (112) at an inlet, which has at least one notch with a first side, to engage the outer end section of the binding material, which is angled outwards, to move the train of the binding material outwards towards the inner surface. The binding material is expanded so that it is wider than the bale forming chamber. An independent claim is included for an expansion ring for use in a netting binding mechanism of a round baler.</p> |
