A UV-resistant plastic film or coating on another carrier material is described, which is designed as climate protector, for example to be used in connection with plant growing, particularly in greenhouse curtains, greenhouse films and cover material for outdoor plant growing, awning and the like. The plastic film or the coating contains wholl y or partly a cross-linked polyolefin containing silane groups which have been introduced by co-polymerisation.
