PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magneto which can improve generation efficiency by suppressing the temperature rise of a generating coil and also where the life and the reliability of the generating coil are improved. SOLUTION: In this magneto which is equipped with a flywheel that rotates around the axis of rotation, a plurality of magnets that are provided at the internal perimetric face of this flywheel and rotate together with the flywheel, a stator core 10 that is provided on the internal diametrical side of these magnets and is constituted by stacking a plurality of thin steel plates and has an annular part 53 and a plurality teeth 12 being projected outward in its radial direction from the annular part 53, and a generating coil that is constituted, with a lead wire wound on the teeth 12, an air vent 56, which pierces the thin steel plates in the direction of its lamination and which allows a refrigerant to pass, is made in the annular part 53.
