PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a playback system to suitably reproduce video and audio signals from an optical disk. SOLUTION: In the playback system to reproduce a video title from an optical disk, a first menu is reproduced based on matching between the language code specific to the reproduction device and the video manager menu language code by referring to the video manager information, and a second menu is reproduced based on matching between the language code specific to the reproduction device and the video title menu language code by referring to the video title set information.
