The method involves determining a current driving direction of a vehicle through detection of a steering angle of the vehicle, and immediately determining further driving direction through detection of temporal change of the steering angle and a yaw rate of the vehicle. The current and further driving directions are provided while turning the vehicle lighting. The vehicle lighting is adjusted while driving through a curve. An independent claim is also included for vehicle lighting with a unit for detecting a current drive direction of a vehicle.
