The unit has a rotating sorption regenerator (4) and a refrigerating machine which has a condenser side that comprises two part condensers (1,2). One condenser is arranged in the regenerating air flow (3) before the sorption regenerator and the other is arranged in the overall air flow (12) after the sorption regenerator. The inflow surface for the regeneration air flow to the sorption regenerator amounts to approximately one quarter of its total surface. After the sorption regenerator and in the regeneration air flow, the evaporator (6) of the refrigerator condenses the air humidity. The regeneration air flow is then mixed with the processed air flow (5), before the sorption regenerator, producing the total air flow. By a throttle valve (10) the regenerating air flow is adjusted to approximately one third of the processed air flow. The part condenser (1) is so dimensioned that the regeneration air flow is heated to approximately 60 degrees C.
