<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten recording time and to stabilize recording quality at the same time when controlling recording power to an optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: When the output power of a laser beam is shifted from a target value by a prescribed amount or more while recording information, or when an ambient temperature is shifted from the ambient temperature when recording is started by a prescribed amount or more, the recording of the information is temporarily stopped. Then, the information recorded immediately before is reproduced from the optical disk, the β value of a reproducing waveform (symmetry of amplitude) is measured, the new target value of the output power is set on the basis of a difference from a target β value, and the recording of the information is restarted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
