<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a content distribution system in the form of a peer-to-peer network system, by keeping more terminal devices in a standby status for serving as contents to be distributed. <P>SOLUTION: A CM content is distributed to each terminal device 3 from a provider server 2 beforehand, and the terminal 3 displays this CM content on a monitor device 10 at the timing of starting a screen saver. To its user, points are given whose number accords to a time duration during which this CM content is displayed, and the user can enjoy various services according to these points.
