The check valve (50) has a helical spring (560) disposed in a case unit pushes a valve body in a valve closing state. Balls (540, 550) are disposed between the body and the spring. The balls acts as a transmission unit to transmit, and change direction of urging force transmitted to the valve body, such that the force is oblique to a pressure action direction X, based on closed or open state of the check valve. An Independent claim is also included for a brake actuator.
