PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of suppressing a shake in not only the vertical direction but also the horizontal direction when a top part moves to increase precision in transfer of an article. SOLUTION: In this transfer device, a slide fork 2 is provided with a base part 10 supporting the top part 30 movably through a vertical guide mechanism 50 and horizontal guide mechanisms 60, 70, and the vertical guide mechanism 50 is provided with a vertical guide roller 51 in the vertical direction and a vertical guide member 52 in the vertical direction having guide channels 52a, 52b for guiding the vertical guide roller 51. A pair of upper and lower guide faces of the guide channels 52a, 52b of the vertical guide member 52 are formed to have better dimensional precision than that of bottom faces 52c, 52d of the guide channels 52a, 52b, and guide faces of the horizontal guide members 62, 72 are formed to have better dimensional precision than that of the bottom faces 52c, 52d of the vertical guide member 52.
