PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste liquid discharge device and a liquid jet device which can smoothly dispose of a waste liquid to a disposal section. SOLUTION: The liquid jet device has a waste liquid tank 25 for storing a waste liquid when an ink is discharged from a recording head as a waste liquid, a discharge tube 33 in which a discharge route to guide the waste liquid to the waste liquid tank 25 is formed and the outlet 35 of the discharge route is arranged so as to be located in the waste liquid tank 25, a support bar 42 arranged movably in the direction intersecting the vertical direction in a state of being accompanied by the outlet side end 33a of the discharge route in the discharge tube 33, and a driving mechanism 40 which moves the support bar 42 to change the relative positional relationship between the outlet 35 of the discharge route in the discharge tube 33 and the waste liquid tank 25.
