PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately supply a vial bottle of a desired size. SOLUTION: The tablets filling apparatus is provided with a plurality of container housing means which have the vial bottles 9 housed being classified by sizes, a container removal means 8a for taking the vial bottles 9 out of the container housing means 8 based on a prescription data, a conveying means 52 for conveying the vial bottles 9 taken out by the container removal means 8a, a tablet supply means 11 for supplying tablets into the vial bottles 9 conveyed by the conveying means 52, a container recovery means 107 into which is recovered the vial bottles 9 being conveyed by the conveying means 52, a container size detection means 100 which is provided in a conveying path by the conveying means 52 and detects the sizes of the vial bottles 9 conveyed and a control means 63 which judges whether the sizes of the vial bottles 9 selected from the prescription data coincide with those of the vial bottles 9 detected by the container size detection means 100 and recovers the vial bottles 9 being conveyed into the container recovery means 107 when both the sizes do not coincide.
