PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens camera which can be mounted even on compact portable equipment such as a mobil phone, and can secure thinning and miniaturization. SOLUTION: The zoom lens camera is equipped with: first and second lens barrels 36 and 37 doubly combined; first and second cam followers 39 and 40 arranged to be extended in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis from the first and the second lens barrels 36 and 37 respectively; first and second plate cam members 41 and 42 sliding in contact with the first and the second cam followers 39 and 40 respectively, and having cams formed to drive the first and the second lens barrels 36 and 37 in an optical axis direction respectively; and first and second driving means 31 and 32 driving and rotating the first and the second cam members 41 and 42 respectively. The first and the second cam members are driven and rotated around an axis parallel with the direction orthogonal to the optical axis so as to move the first and the second lens barrels 36 and 37 in the optical axis direction by the action of the cam respectively.
