<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-light-emitting type road sign board and a self-light-emitting device used therefor by which the existence is alerted excellently even under poor visibility without considerably increasing the energy related to the light emitting. <P>SOLUTION: Luminescence brightness can be enhanced by combining three or more light emitting diodes 11 to make an illuminant group 1. Without considerably increasing the energy related to the light emitting by enhancing the brightness of the light emitting diodes 11 themselves, the existence is alerted excellently even under poor visibility. Since the illuminant group 1 is arranged near each corner 6 of the display board 21, an impression of a polygonal shape formed by connecting the illuminant groups 1 is given, so that the shape of the display board 21 may be recognized.
