PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus capable of stabilizing the attitude of an associated electronic apparatus even when the associated electronic apparatus is placed on the image reading apparatus. SOLUTION: Since a placing part 24B with a personal computer C installable thereon in a state of stabilizing the attitude of the personal computer C is provided to an upper part of the image reading apparatus 10, the attitude of the personal computer C can be stabilized even when the personal computer C is placed on the placing part 24B. Thus, the personal computer C can easily be operated. Further, since the attitude of the personal computer C can be stabilized, falling off of the personal computer C can be prevented when operating the personal computer C and the personal computer C can be operated with a safe conscience.
