PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can be held easily by a user and can cope with the wish of each user by breaking away from monocoque body structure. SOLUTION: A digital single-lens reflex camera comprises a resin or metal frame 100, forming the enclosure of the camera over the substantially entire circumference in four (vertical and horizontal) directions, an imaging unit 200 removably attached to the frame 100, and a front grip unit 300 and a rear grip unit 400 removably attached to the frame 100.
