<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that responsiveness to the meandering of a belt is not good and the vibration of meandering speed is large after settling the meandering when the housing of an image forming apparatus is largely distorted and deformed. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a tilting mechanism for tilting at least one roller shaft in a direction perpendicular to a tension applying direction and a cam for driving the tilting mechanism, and has a cam position changing means for changing the position of the cam, whereby the responsiveness to the meandering of the belt is improved and the vibration of the meandering speed after settling the meandering is made small. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
