<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can write information into an IC tag of a paper being conveyed even when the apparatus is placed at a position where electric waves of a communication means reach a recording medium loaded on a recording medium loading part. <P>SOLUTION: The electric waves of the communication means are prohibited from reaching the IC tags 70 equipped in papers although the waves of the communication means reach the papers loaded on a paper discharging tray 26 or a paper feeding tray 18. The IC tag 70 of the paper loaded on the paper discharging tray 26 or the paper feeding tray 18 is prevented from responding to the emitted electric waves of the communication means. Only the IC tag 70 of the paper being conveyed can respond to the electric waves of the communication means.
