<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crank chamber compression type two-cycle engine having simple and inexpensive construction for reducing unburnt hydrocarbon in exhaust gas, and to provide a fuel particle refining device mountable on an existing crank chamber compression type two-cycle engine for refining fuel particles in a mixture to suppress the amount of unburnt hydrocarbon in exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: The crank chamber compression type two-cycle engine 1 comprises a scavenging passage 17 for communicating a crank chamber 24 with a combustion chamber 15. Herein, a refining means 19 is mounted which has a through-hole 52 and/or a flow path in at least one position of an inlet part 18, a middle part 35 and an outlet part 31 of the scavenging passage 17, where a mixture delivered from the crank chamber 24 toward the combustion chamber 15 collides to refine the fuel particles in the mixture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
