PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic display medium which is easily manufactured and whose display quality is improved and a method for manufacturing the electrophoretic display medium. SOLUTION: Wax for constituting a partition part 34 is dissolved in display liquid 33 in a filling process. Thus, since there is no partition part 34 to be a factor of accumulation of air bubbles in the filling process, the electrophoretic display medium 10 with improved display quality without the air bubbles is manufactured. Furthermore, since the partition part 34 having a plurality of recessed parts 34a and projected parts 34b is formed by crystallizing the wax by a crystallization process, the electrophoretic display medium 10 in which the deterioration of the display quality resulting from large deviation of charged particles is suppressed is easily manufactured.
