PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multispindle lathe which efficiently machines both a workpiece of a large flattening ratio and a workpiece of a large turning ratio, regarding the multispindle lathe provided with: two facing main spindles (workpiece main spindles) on the same axis line; and a tool main spindle provided toward the axis. SOLUTION: This lathe is provided with: the two main spindles facing each other on the same axis 12; the tool main spindle 21 arranged on the depth upper side and position controlled in Z-axis, X-axis, Y-axis and B-axis directions; and a turret tool rest 37 arranged on a front lower side of the axis and controlled in position in Z-axis, X-axis and Y-axis directions. The turret tool rest 37 is provided with a Z-axis direction moving stroke machining both of a workpiece held by one of the two main spindles and a workpiece held by the other. A supporting base 10 of a spindle stock is provided to be inclined in a direction in which the main spindle approaches to the tool main spindle 21 in relation to the Y-axis. A column 35 for guiding the tool rest 37 in the Y-axis direction orthogonal to the X-axis is arranged on a counter-main spindle side of the tool rest 37. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
