PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin electrode which is superior in ion generating efficiency and handling characteristics in a constricted space, and in which cost reduction and space saving are enabled, and to provide an ion generator and a static eliminator using this. SOLUTION: The thin electrode is configured such that a discharge electrode using a linear conductive material having a plurality of fine protrusions and an induction electrode using the linear conductive material opposing to the discharge electrode are arranged and installed at a dielectric. The thin electrode is configured such that one or more of the thin electrodes are arranged and installed at a rod-shaped body such as a round rod, a square rod, and a small-width plate, and this is the ion generator and the static eliminator using this.
