PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inlet system capable of ensuring stable startup and of increasing torque over a wide rotation range. SOLUTION: This inlet system 4000 is provided with: a casing 4001 including a surge tank space 4002; a rotating drum 6003 having a resonator space 6002 formed therein, and having an opening 6005 specifying a communication area between the resonator space 6002 and the surge tank space 4002 formed therein; and an actuator 3100 capable of changing the volume of the resonator space 6002 in response to engine speed and the communication area of the opening 6005.
