<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator capable of realizing the ignition performance with a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The gas generator has a short cylindrical housing 2 consisting of a lower lid 2b having an ignition means which forms an initiator shell, and an upper lid 2a for closing the lower lid which forms a closure shell. An ignition means 20 consisting of an ignition agent charging container 19 having an igniter 9 and an ignition agent 17 therein, and a cylindrical body 16 provided on an outer surface of the ignition agent charging container 19 in a tightly attached manner, a gas generation agent 13 and a filter material 11 are arranged in this order in the housing 2 from a center thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
