<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a recording device such as an HDD included in a device from an impact of falling, and to quickly let the device recover to the normally usable state after falling. <P>SOLUTION: Based on a detection signal of a fall sensor 116, it is judged whether or not the device is actually falling (S306, S310). When it is judged that the device falls, accessing to the HDD for recording thereto or reading therefrom is inhibited, and when it is judged that the device does not fall, the accessing is permitted.
