PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of evaluating cosmetics which enables the simple and objective evaluation of a visual effect. SOLUTION: The method includes a sample forming step of forming a sample with a predetermined film thickness using cosmetics to be evaluated and a transmittance measuring step of measuring the total transmittance and diffusion transmittance of the sample with respect to the light of a visible light region.
