PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly functional composite material that contributes to global environments, industries, or the like of the next generation, a manufacturing method of the composite material and use of particulates. SOLUTION: A particulate or liposome having a particle size of 50-800 nm affords an excellent composite material and, in some cases, assures strengths of at least two times that of a composite material of the same kind that has not dispersed the particulates therein. The assurance of the strengths of at least two times permits realization of the same strengths with the composite material of a thickness of a half or less of conventional composite materials thereby to allow remarkable reduction of the amount of a dispersing medium to a half or less.
