A mobile terminal is provided to use a terminal body having a basic function and an additional body for providing a function added to the terminal body separately or together so that the terminal body can be independently used and the additional body can be selectively used. A mobile terminal(10) comprises a first body(20) for performing a communication function and a second body(30), electrically connected to the first body(20), for performing another function including a function of the first body(20) when the second body(30) is electrically connected to the first body(20). The second body(30) is mountable to and removable from the first body(20). The first body(20) includes a display(21) for displaying visual information, a voice transceiver(23,24) for transceiving voice, and a connector electrically connected to the second body(30).
