<p>The method involves selecting a parameter of a high-pressure pump (12) of a common-rail-injection system in such a manner that order of torque excitation of the high-pressure pump is equal to order of torque excitation of a cam shaft (14). An angle position of the high pressure pump is selected in the drive system in such a manner that oscillation of the torque at the high pressure pump and oscillation of torque at the cam shaft are partially cancelled.</p>
