A display device comprises a rear substrate (12), a front substrate (11), a plurality of display elements, a plurality of lines, and drive circuit substrate. The rear substrate (12) has a line-forming surface (S). The front substrate is arranged opposite to the line-forming surface by a gap interposed and has peripheral edge bonded to the rear substrate. The display elements are provided between the rear substrate and the front substrate. The lines are formed on the line-forming surface, extend to the peripheral edge of the line-forming surface and supply a drive voltage to the display elements. The drive circuit substrate is arranged at the peripheral edge of the line-forming surface. Drive circuit is mounted on the drive circuit substrate.
