<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection system which can detect the positions of a microphone and an input device containing the microphone just by adding a simple circuit by means of an existing constitution. SOLUTION: This system includes a detection signal output means which transmits the ultrasonic detection signals via a speaker SP with superimposition on or independently of the audio signals, a microcomputer which is connected to the detection signal output means and monitors the transmission timing of the ultrasonic detection signal, and a microphone 3 which collects the ultrasonic detection signals and outputs the reception timing of the ultrasonic detection signals to the microcomputer. The distance between the SP and the microphone 3 is calculated by multiplying the time interval set between the transmission timing and the reception timing of the ultrasonic detection signals by the sound velocity. Thus, it's possible to decide the relative position between the SP and the microphone 3 just by using a combination of an existing SP and the microphone 3.</p> |
